...declare repentance and faith on the Savior, and remission of sins by baptism, and by fire, yea, even the Holy Ghost.

Well basically I haven't followed the promptings of the Spirit in getting prepared for a mission. I haven't physically committed any great sin, but I guess I've resisted the Holy Ghost to prepare me to be a misssionary. I'm going to talk to a priesthood leader and hopefully I can get the atonement in my life. thanks

matt--

Absolutely! What makes you think otherwise?

The Savior of the world died so that you and I can repent and obtain forgiveness. As a missionary you will teach this powerful truth to those you meet with.

Believe what it says in the scriptures, and not lean on your own understanding until you've regained the Spirit.

You said that you're an Elder or High Priest. Apparently, you're worried about this. I wouldn't be. Face up to what needs to be done and move forward. If you do, things will work out the way the Lord wills it.

But as oft as they repented and sought forgiveness, with real intent, they were forgiven Moroni 6:8

I'm a melchizidek priesthood holder who wants to go on a mission. But recently I've lost the spirit because I have not followed it's promtings. Is there any way that I can be forgiven?

matt--I think satan would like us to believe that. Heavenly Father, on the other hand, is always ready to accept our sincere desire to repent and makes it clear that he will forgive and heal us when we do.

Honesty for sure. With ones self, and more importantly with God.
