Thanks for the added detail.

I also noticed that the word Jesus doesn’t appear until 2 Nephi 25:19 (in the main text).

However, the word Messiah first appears in 1 Nephi 1:19. This term is used frequently (I counted 18)until the name Christ appears, then the term is used less.

I was surprised that The Book of Mormon didn’t use the name Christ until the second book of Nephi, when I took a look at a concordance I did notice that it is used more than 319 times though. It appears that the word Christ appears in 317 individual scriptures and the two times on the cover page, (319 you came up with)though some of those scriptures use it multiple times for a grand total of 384 times. That is if you count the six times the word Christ is used in a chapter heading. Hope you find this additional info helpful. Contact me if you have more questions.

Its Jacob 4:2. I remember because the author takes special pains to point out that it was revealed to him. (If I happen to be wrong its 2 Nephi 10:3). Before that Christ is referred to as “the Messiah”.
