Worthiness is a Process (the gospel is here to comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable)
Worthiness is a word that is used often in Mormon circles. For example, worthiness interviews are conducted in every stake, ward, and branch in the church. The purpose is to determine if an individual is worthy to:

Dealing with Crisis the Lord’s Way
Because we are the children of God we can know Him, and be Known of Him. The scriptures teach many things about Heavenly Father, and if we diligently seek Him He will be revealed. Many Latter-day Saints have experienced this revealing and therefore have a testimony.
In the last few years, as I've visited numerous LDS blogs, I have read many accounts of church members who experience a crisis of one kind or another. Their testimonies are often challenged as they struggle with a situation they feel is inexplicable. They are brought to a point where they begin to feel that God doesn't really exist, or needs to be redefined, because of the nature of their difficulty. All kinds of difficulties befall us while in mortality. When our faith was strong we thought we were on the high road to the Celestial Kingdom, but when in the midst of a crisis, our faith is seemingly uprooted as we're tossed about in the circumstances that engulf us.
Begging for a Remission of Your Sins
Have you begged the Lord for a remission of your sins?
First, a definition of the word "beg" may be helpful to set aside any emotional response we may have to the word. Some among us may feel offended by this word thinking that God would never require His sons and daughters, the elect; those holding the priesthood, those who have made sacred covenants in the temples, to beg.
Embracing Our Individual & Unique Gift of the Holy Ghost
I’ve felt a desire to share some sacred experiences the Lord has given me. My whole purpose in sharing these experiences is to testify of Jesus Christ and the reality of the atonement. I hope by testifying of these things others will be strengthened spiritually and will be motivated to follow the Savior with full purpose of heart and receive all that He has for them.
The greatest concern I have is that those who read about my experiences will expect to receive the exact same experience in their life. I’m not sure it works that way. I think we need to explore our own unique gift of the Holy Ghost and learn how grow in it.
