Following the prophet, staying worthy of the Holy Ghost, and shunning the worldly philosophies of men will help keep us in the church. It takes humility to follow the prophet, especially when what he (they) say is contrary to what we feel or believe, having been tainted by worldliness, or our own ignorance. It take a humble person to continue in worthiness to have the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost; that’s what I’m working on. And it takes humility to be different, often in very obvious ways, from the world. We can’t just blend in anymore; our standards, beliefs and actions make us stand out. We will need to be humble to endure the persecutions that will come.
