If I may make but a single suggestion... make the sole concern of your heart to be forgiven of all your sins, and keep that as your focus until the Lord Himself signifies to you that your sins are remitted (D&C 49:26), then you will be given everything you ask for (D&C 50:29), even if you will be told what to ask for (D&C 50:30).

"Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth (John 9:31)."

K-Jo-

I have the same difficulty. I'm sure many others feel the same way.

I struggle with this fast Sunday. Is it best to fast and pray for many things or focus on one or a few things?

I've concluded that when most of the things on my prayer list are not urgent then it's OK to pray for the entire list. However, when something is urgent then I find myself naturally focusing my complete spiritual energy on it.

I believe Heavenly Father wants us bring all our concerns to Him. President Monson said the Lord is involved in the details of our lives.

Jared, One of my problems in staying focused on getting answers to pray is that I have so many concerns that I would like answers to. If I were to pray diligently about each one of them, my whole day would be spent on my knees. How can you narrow it down to one thing? How is it possible to stay connected and focused on one concern when there are so many swirling around me? So I feel like I flit and float around so many things that it interrupts my ability to get an answer on one thing. Thanks.
